It doesn’t matter. It is probably pretty expensive and records more things then you need. I use a cheap but very accurate $ 10 schwinn cyclocomputer from Walmart and a heart rate monitor that I paid $ 32 for. It is all the Information that I need, anything above that is overkill. He probably has a power meter with a device that records everything and runs in the thousands.
It’s a Bontrager Node 1 or Node 2 computer.
That’s just the base receiver though. They usually ride with the heart rate & speed/cadence sensors as well… and when using the Node 2, they have the altimeter and clinometer functions as well. Lance also will often run a PowerTap rear hub so that he can receive power output readings on the computer as well.
The receivers run about $ 75-150 and you can get the HR strap along with speed/cadence for about $ 200-250 but the ‘whole package’ as used by Lance is around $ 3000… Most of that cost being the PowerTap hub for measure how many watts you’re putting out.
