4 Stars excelent!
it is all that I expect!! smaller, lighter and with more functions, I use a old mity 5 so this is much better!

4 Stars Excellent bike computer for basic information
The Cateye Strada Wireless has performed flawlessly for our 4-per-week bike rides. Simple to reset (just hold the button down for a few seconds), easy to read, and easy to remove, I highly recommend this computer for bike enthusiasts who ride for fun, whether fast or slow. For those who are training for maximum improvement or for competition, you’ll want to purchase a unit with cadence, and maybe even a heart-rate function. But if you only log in miles and speed, the Strada is great choice. And wireless is so convenient to install, with no ugly wires ruining the bike graphics. I’ve never had an issue with losing signal. The instructions say not to park the bike with the magnet next to the pickup unit, or else your battery may drain rapidly; so you do need to spend 5 extra seconds to rotate your front tire when parking the bike. But I’ve logged a few thousand miles on all of my Cateye products before needing to change the battery.

I also own Cateye’s V2c model, because I analyze my training regularly, and I rely upon cadence data as well as average speed. But I paid more for this feature, and the V2c graphics are smaller and a little harder for me to read.

As far as longevity, I have another Cateye computer on a vintage 12-speed; I’ve had to replace the battery several times, but the unit performs just as it did when I installed it 25 years ago. This is the reason I trust Cateye; although a company product’s reliability may change over the years, usually the change is for the better. Until I have issues with their products, I will continue to buy from Cateye, as long as the features are competitive with other brands.

5 Stars Very very pleased
Product showed up as described and works like a charm. Easy to install and easy to scroll through different functions. Price from Amazon was cheapest around.

4 Stars Good Cyclocomputer
This is a good dependable cyclocomputer. I found it easy to install and set up for use. The wireless feature is great and works well. It is reset by pressing on the bottom of the unit when it is mounted. Mine requires only about 1 1/2 seconds to reset and I accidently reset it twice while riding as the same motion is required to scroll between the functions. It can also be reset by pushing on the bottom of the top of the unit. Now that I am aware it is not a problem. It is nice looking and the mounting system allowed it to mount easily on my aerobar. It is a good value at a good price and provides enough functions for my needs.

4 Stars Ease to install
I have 3 wireless cateye products, two like this one and another with the cadence for my training bike. I like the product very much. It is better than the trek ones. With a trek it seems that you have a TV screen on your handlebar or stem. Cateye is maybe a bit little but its performance is pure quality. Very ease to set up and go. Of course the prize is right, especially if you get it from Amazon.com. Enjoy your ride. PB

4 Stars nice for the price
Can’t complain about this odometer for the price. Easy to install even for a girl. Nice big readout. One problem which I won’t blame on the item, if you wear glasses with poloroid feature, it makes a rainbow affect on the display screen that makes viewing the bottom half of the screen difficult.

4 Stars Nice
Overall a pretty nice, simple little computer. Be warned that it will not look like the picture. The current design doesn’t look as nice and the button is mounted on the top instead of the side. I can’t really complain though, the price was good and it functions really well. The directions could be clearer I guess, but it’s worth the money. Clocking up the miles on the odometer is nice motivation to keep going!

4 Stars simple and straightforward
This product is a great value: it works as advertised, and is simple to install and operate.

5 Stars Cateye bicycle computer
This is the simplest, easiest to install, easiest to operate bicycle computer I have ever owned. It took me all of 15 minutes to install it. If you like simplicity, like I do, this is the computer to get.

4 Stars Cateye CC-VL510 Bicycle Computer
Unit seems to work well, but picture based directions could be much better. More written detail would certainly help. This product seems sturdy and well built, but carefully plan your installation and be careful about the poor quality of the instruction drawings. I did have a problem in that I didn’t set the device to the proper wheel size. Once that was done all worked well.

5 Stars Great product and good value for the money
It is my 2nd cateye cycling computer. It’s inexpensive, durable and easy to use. Been using this for 2 months now for my bike commute to work every day. Worked very well even when it was 25F or when it was soak from thee rain.

I like large display and the no-button design.

What I would have a preferred is to have an average cadence reading.

5 Stars Simple, reliable, Cateye!
I just got my Strada cyclometer, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I love the small size, and the ability to mount on the stem. Setup took 10 minutes, time I mostly spent fine-tuning the positioning of the sensor on the fork. Programming the wheel size and other settings was very easy although I wish the instructions were a bit more explicit about the need to hold down the menu button to change digits on the wheel size. Took ‘er out for a spin, the speed is easy to read, and operation is hassle-free: just press the end of the unit to toggle through the displays. Hold down to clear the data. I can’t say anything about durability because I just got it, but if it’s like my other Cateye products that shouldn’t be a problem. If you appreciate elegance and functionality in a minimal package this computer is for you.

5 Stars Everything I Need At A Glance
I have used this Cateye Strada Computer for over 200 miles now. It is easy to read, and I can click through the 8 functions effortlessly while riding. Most of the time I keep the lower read out display on trip distance. I used to have a computer with 3 function display that allowed me to see speed, distance and real time clock, but am now used to the Strada’s 2 function display.

I mounted this wired computer on a Giant Sedona DX with suspension fork and disc brakes. The left hand front disc brake forced me to mount the transmitter on the right hand side and creatively tie strap the wire along the fork to the disc brake cable up to the handle bar. Also, care had to be taken routing the 27″ wire on my large 22″ frame to insure trouble free operation.

Bottom line: I prefer a wired computer and this set-up works flawlessly. This is a great product, I would buy it again and I recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, compact, inexpensive computer solution to their biking needs.

3 Stars Great computer
I have been using this computer for 6 months. It’s easy to use, however I had the bicycle shop install it. The battery didn’t last two months. It would seem that it would have lasted longer. I had to reprogram the darn thing after replacing the batteries. It was very easy to do but I lost previous information. I haven’t met a easy bike computer yet.

4 Stars Simple and Sturdy
As an avid commuter cyclist I put on 4000km/year in all kinds of weather. I’ve used several computers but this is my favourite so far. The feature I like best is that you operate it without buttons–just press the face to switch between modes. The toolless mounting is also very handy. But what drove me to write this review is the experience I had today. Biking in the dark at -10C I took a spill in a snowy patch on the road. I didn’t notice until I got to work that my Strada was missing. But on the way home I found it, face down in the middle of the snowy icy road with car tire tracks right over it. Picked it up, wiped off the snow, and it’s working as good as new.

My only beef with it is that the plastic handlebar mount can become brittle in the cold and break. In fact that’s likely why it fell off in the first place, as the mount had broken the previous week and was holding it loosely. I wish the mount was made of metal, but as far as I can see every computer on the market uses plastic mounts.
